Biography
Lived in Orlando since 1944 - went to Jr High and High School in Orlando and University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Have a B.S. in Pharmacy Science - also took courses in Business Administration school.
Worked for an independent full service Drug Store with an old fashioned luncheonette. Eventually became a partner/owner with a multistore operation in Central Florida. Also have been investor for Motel, Restaurant, Citrus Groves and a Radio Chemical business. My strengths are retail/wholesale business - strategy - planning - sales - operations - in retail.
Advice
1. The most important thing for a start-up is due diligence. Know demographics of location and potential business. Have enough capitol for projected cash flow needs.
2. Business is tough and a new business is lonely. You cannot depend on governmental help, loans, grants. You must be a self starter.
