Doug Ware retired after 40 years with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Siemens Corporations. He focused on installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance and repair technologies. Doug has thirty years of domestic and international experience with line management with multiple service and repair operations. He successfully managed profit centers with revenues exceeding $100M. Doug has expansive power generation product knowledge; including steam turbines, combustion turbines, generators and balance of plant apparatus. Over the years, Doug led significant organizational initiatives in the areas of continuous process improvement, restructuring, integration, and customer satisfaction. Doug is certified as Six Sigma Green Belt and has developed statistical based comprehensive customer satisfaction assessment process. Doug is now the Sole proprietor of Doug Ware Consultant. As a true process improvement expert, Doug believes “that people are your most important assets and leadership is all about helping them become more effective in performing their jobs.”
Doug has been a SCORE volunteer for 5 years, the Vice Chair for Outreach Education (seminars) for the last 2 years and is currently Chapter Chair elect.
Doug graduated from California State University, California Maritime Academy, Vallejo, CA with a Bachelor of Science, Maritime Engineering. His business philosophy can be summed in three statements. First, “The customer's perception is reality.” Second, “You can't manage what you don't measure.” Third, “You need to focus on continuous improvement”.
